DCS is Proud to Support the Wrangler® National Finals Rodeo 2020 in Arlington, Texas, Dec 3–12

Arlington’s new Globe Life Field, which hosted the baseball World Series in October, is now hosting the Super Bowl of rodeo as the Wrangler® National Finals Rodeo (NFR) 2020 comes to town, Dec. 3–12.

Data Center Systems, a leading provider of reliable, scalable, and high-performance connectivity to the largest data centers in the world, is proud to support this first non-baseball event at the state-of-the-art park.

"From cattle drives, museums and even the names of our professional sporting teams, our love of cowboy culture runs deep here in Tarrant County," Arlington Mayor Jeff Williams said. "I can think of no better choice for the Super Bowl of rodeo than to be hosted here in the heart of North Texas. Arlington and Fort Worth have so many family friendly attractions and rich experiences to offer rodeo fans who will be traveling from across the country to cheer on these professional cowboys as they strive to set new records and achieve their American Dream in the arena."

The Wrangler NFR is considered the richest and most prestigious rodeo in the world with the top cowboys and cowgirls competing for a share of $10 million in prize money and a coveted PRCS Gold Buckle.

The top 15 athletes in bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing, and bull riding will compete for their place in rodeo history.

In 2019, the 10-day event attracted more than 160,000 people to Las Vegas where organizers have sold out more than 330 consecutive performances.

This year’s event was moved from Las Vegas due to COVID-19 restrictions.

"We are honored that the PRCA selected Globe Life Field to host the 2020 Wrangler Nationals Finals Rodeo and are thrilled to be a small part of bringing this world-class event back to Texas," said Neil Leibman, chief operating officer of the Texas Rangers, who play at Globe Life.

Health and Safety Protocols Put in Place

Globe Life Field officials have emphasized that recommended health and safety standards are being met, including:

  • Safety measures include a mask requirement at all times while inside Globe Life Field
  • There will be additional hand washing and sanitizing stations throughout the building.
  • Seats will be sold in groups of four with separation between groups.
  • Contact-limiting measures, such as mobile tickets, have been implemented throughout the event.

Globe Life Field is encouraging all guests to check the CDC and the Texas Department of State Health Services websites for any guideline changes prior to the event.

More Than Just a Rodeo

The NFR 2020 is much more than just a rodeo with the Cowboy Christmas, 250,000 square feet of show floor and just under 225 exhibitors from across the United States, taking place at the Fort Worth Convention Center.

The event at 1201 Houston St., Fort Worth, TX 76102 runs from Dec. 3-12 and is open to the public with free admission from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Cowboy Christmas includes popular areas such as NFR After Dark and the NFR Experience.

In addition to the pros, the Junior World Finals will also be run concurrently during the NFR at the Cowtown Coliseum in the Fort Worth Stockyards.
